Bible Records: Hicks Bible in possession of Elizabeth (Hicks) Joslin, Georgetown, Ohio August, 1998. [copy sent to me by Lvera Jennings Seipelt, Georgetown OH]. "Henry M. Hicks was Born june 29 1826. Henry Melvin Hicks died 6A. M. November 15th 1905; age 79 yrs." Also on loose paper found in Bible. Photocopy of photo of him (with wife) as elderly man in my files. Rosaline (Hicks) Buskirk may have the original. I also have an original photo of him slightly younger, from collection of Molly Levi labelled "Grandpa Hicks". Information from Norman Zezula says he was a farmer. At one time he was postmaster of Rural, Clermont Co, OH. Birth: Hicks Bible; death rec. states birthplace is Bethel.
