Photocopy of photo of her (with husband) as elderly woman in my files. Rosaline (Hicks) Buskirk may have the original. I also have an original photo of her in middle age, from collection of Molly Levi labelled "Grandma Hicks". Hicks was born December 5, 1821. Hannah Francis Hicks died November 1907 Age 86 years." !DEATH: Cler. Co., OH death rec. "Hicks, Hannah Francis, female, d. Fra. twp., Ohio on 3 Nov 1907, age 85y 10m 28d; b. Bracken Co., KY; old age; res. Fra. twp." The census suggests that both Hannah's parents died between 1839 and 1850. I was out to Mary's three weeks and your Pa was taken sick and ________ and I had to______ ______ _______ was sick_____ _____ not heard from her since I left her. I am uneasy about her. Your Pa is better now. He was very sick for three or four weeks. Frankly Johny wants to go to Lebanon one term this winter and he can't raise the money. He wants to know if you can get him some. If you don't owe him enough, let it go on my account as I promised him I would help him if he would stay at home this summer. I would have had enough but I had to help pay the interest on the place and pay for Tom. Johny wants to start for Lebanon the first of next month. If you can get him 25 dollars, he can get the rest. Harvey says for you to get the Curier (sic) out of the office and read it. He wants to know if you found out any more about Edgar's Tobacco, and frankly I want to know when you are coming home to stay or not as your Pa _____ will be able to work _____________________ do___________________ There is (sic) apples ________ enough to keep three or four men busy ____________ to pick apples as soon as he gets well.
