XCENSUS--1860: Could not find in 1860 census index for Ohio. They may have

               moved, say to Kentucky.

NOTE: Nancy Hicks not with parents in 1850 census; It was once thought she

       had died before 1850, since no mar. was located, none was indicated
       in the HICKS Bible, and she did not apear with her parents in the
       1850 census.  However, her marriage (in 1847) was found in CLERMONT
       CO., OHIO MARRIAGE RECORDS, 1800-1850, by the Cler. Co., Ohio Gen.
       Soc. (GS # 977.1794/ v 28 m). A Nancy Owens (age 19 )was found with
       her husband in the 1850 census.  A William F. Owens signed the mar.
       bond of Henry Melvin Hicks and Hannah Francis Owens.  Apparently,
       two Hicks children married two Owens children.  (The F. may stand for
       Francis).  William F. Owens was born in KY, and also fits an age gap
       in the Owens family group that includes Hannah and those listed with
       Francis Owens in KY in the 1850 census.
