Information from Norman Zezula says he was a farmer, schoolteacher, nurseryman and fruit tree salesman.

Molly Dell Levi Stalder (in 1909) mentions "Aunt Melissa" Hicks, RR1, Chilco, OH; Uncle Harvey Hicks, Norwood, Oh b. 1/21/1862. Aunt Mary (?) Joslin, New Richmond OH b. 25 Apr 1860.; Uncle John and Aunt Georgie.

!BIRTH: Hicks Family Bible; month, year, and state of birth is consistent with the l900 Census--Cler. Co., OH (ED 24, sheet 8, line 75). The birth date given by his Ohio death rec. also agrees.

!MARRIAGE: Clermont Co., Ohio mar. rec. (# 321). "at Utopia, Clermont, Ohio at her mother's home"--according to family tradition as related by her daughter, Minnie (Hicks) Behan, to Norman Zezula in 1979.

!DEATH: Ohio death cert.--"Harvey Henry Hicks d. 25 Jun 1950 in Norwood, Ham., Ohio; b. 21 Jan 1862 in Ohio; widower; parents: Henry Hicks (b. OH), Hannah Owens (b. KY); Dion H. Hicks was informant."

BIBLE Records: Hicks Bible in possession of Elizabeth (Hicks) Joslin, Georgetown, Ohio August, 1998. [copy sent to me by Lvera Jennings Seipelt, Georgetown OH]. "Harvey Henry Hicks was Born January 21 at 11 oclock A.M. 1842. Tuesday."

OCCUPATION: schoolteacher; salesman for Stark Nursery. He received a

            write up (that included his picture) in the company publication.
            for being one of the top salesman of Stark fruit trees in Ohio.
