This is our picture and my bio for our class reunion
After graduating from high school I spent some time working for Lyle Guyer in his custom farming operation. I then went into the Army for two years spending time in Germany. After the army, I went back to work for Lyle and got married to Elsie Anderson '58 in 1961. I worked several years for Kenneth Arduser and then started farming on my own and continue to farm at the present time, now with my son Bruce.
We have two sons, Bruce and Julie have 4 children and live within 1/2 mile from the farm. Their children go to Madelia to school and that makes 5 generations now that have graduated from Madelia High School. Laura and Katie have graduated. As far as anyone can tell the only family in Madelia to have done this.
David and Deb live in Breckenridge MN now and have two sons. He is Superintendant of Schools and is moving to East Grand Forks in July to the same position there. They have two boys in elementary school.
Between the field work and the hogs, we like to vacation at our cabin near Walker. Try the fishing or whatever we choose to do. When Elsie retired from nursing we spent part of the Summer in Alaska, we even went to Barrow to check out what it was like near the North Pole. Very interesting State, but you would need to spend the whole year there and then not see it all.
Living in the Madelia area and having grandchildren in the school we find much of our time during the school year is spent watching the sporting events at the school. Different now with the girls sports, can spend 4-5 nights a week at the events if you want.
Looking forward to seeing all you in September.
