This is my bio for my 50-year class reunionAfter graduating, I tried to carry on the family tradition of farming, but found that it was difficult to earn a living. So in 1963 I went to work in St. Paul for L & M Products as a plant foreman. While working at L & M I also went to the University of Minnesota in the evening. In 1965 I took a job at Control Data working in inventory control and production control which afforded me lots of on the job experience as I moved into a management position. In 1973 I was offered the opportunity at Winnebago Industries to organize and computerize the bill of material. The success of this task was a real challenge but very fullfilling. After 26 years of the rat race, I was able to retire in 1999 and enjoy some of the fruits of my hard work. Now I keep busy camping and traveling in our motorhome, trying to keep caught up on my honey-do list, gardening and fishing. Any extra time I have is not hard to fill helping my family, neighbors, and friends. Elaine and I have three children, Mark living in Austin, Tx, Tim and Michelle living in the Twin Cities. I can't say there's anything better than being called Grandpa by my two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Stephanie. Our life has truly been blessed. This is a link back to my Homepage.
