Newent Rural District was located in Gloucestershire, England from 1894 to 1974. It covered an area in the north of the county bordering on Worcestershire and Herefordshire.
It was formed under the Local Government Act 1894 from the Newent Rural Sanitary District. When it was abolished in 1974 the area was transferred to the new administrative district of Forest of Dean.
