Maria Cook was born in 1849 at Aspley Guise in Bedfordshire, England. She was the daughter of a lace maker named Mary Ann Cook, formerly Lichfield, and her husband John Cook, an agricultural labourer. Maria appears in each census from 1851 to 1871 living in Aspley Guise with her parents and siblings. By 1871 she was working as a servant.
Maria has yet to be researched after 1871.
