Emily Cook was born in 1844 at Husborne Crawley in Bedfordshire, England. She was the daughter of a lace maker named Mary Ann Cook, formerly Lichfield, and her husband John Cook, an agricultural labourer. Sadly Emily died in late 1847, when she was only three years old. She was buried at Husborne Crawley on 2nd January 1848.
