My bio for my 50-year high school class reunionI married Maynard Kelsey and we were blessed with four children, Kraig, Jeff, Terry and Lori. They all live in the metro area so we see them often. I volunteered at the Roseville schools that they attended and was also a 4-H leader. I spent many hours watching football, basketball, baseball and soccer, and never tired of it. While living in Roseville I served as an election judge, and also worked at the University of Minnesota bookstore, on the St. Paul campus. When Maynard worked for H.B. Fuller I was fortunate to be able to go with him on some of his trips. I saw some interesting places and met great people. In 1992 we built a home on a small lake outside of Stillwater. After we moved to Stillwater I took a more active interest in gardening. I even had a potting shed built a few years ago. I've come a long way from my days on the farm when my mother told me to weed the garden and I pulled all the carrots. In my defense, I was quite young. Maynard says I have a look of contentment when I'm working in my gardens. I also took up golf a few years ago, and unbelievably, on my first time out last year I got a hole-in-one. I especially treasure the time I spend with our grandchildren, Kathryn (19), John (17), Kate (11), Jack (8) and Lily (2). It is the greatest gift to listen to their stories and hear their laughter. For the past nine years Maynard and I have volunteered at Second Harvest boxing food for the less fortunate. We always feel good when we leave there and count our many blessings. We also deliver our township newsletters. Our most memorable trip was a 15 day trip to Alaska. We had a great first week on land touring by bus and then two days into the cruise, 9/11 happened. Needless to say, that last week was a sad time. I feel that we formed a closer bond with the people on our tour because of what we experienced together. Maynard and I are in good health other than the little aches and pains that I'm sure most of you have too. Come on, admit it!! See you in September. This is a link back to my Homepage.
