Susannah Lewis was baptised on 19th July 1840 at Husborne Crawley in Bedfordshire, daughter of Sarah (Sally) Lewis, formerly Cook, and her husband Thomas Lewis, a pig dealer. Susannah appears with her parents in the 1841 census living in the neighbouring parish of Aspley Guise. Sadly she died as a child of six years old, being buried on 15th October 1846 at Husborne Crawley.
