T.C. Record Eagle; 1987 --- Researched; Jan. 15, "Obituary" Ida L. Priest ; Beulah -- Ida L. Priest 85, a homemaker, died Tuesday at the Osteopathic Hospital after a long illness. She was a life long resident of the Beulah area and a member of the First Congregational Church of Benzonia. Born in Benzonia on April 18, 1901, she was the daughter of Adam and Matilda (Lung) Long. On Jan. 9, 1922 She married John T. Priest, who died in 1963. Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Arthur, Alton and William Long, and a sister May Porter. Surviving are a son, Edwin Priest of Mesa, Ariz; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Laura) Kerby of Traverse City and Mrs. Robert (Ann) Zeller of San Angelo Tex.; two brothers, Harvey Long of Benzonia and Lloyd Long of Gulliver; two sisters, Grace Priest of Beulah and Margaret Clark of Benzonia & Littleton Colorado; nine grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, A memorial service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Bennett Funeral Home in Beulah. The Rev. G. Forrest Hoppe will officate. Interment will be in Benzonia, Twp. Cemetery. Friends may meet the family at the time of service. Entry date; Nov. 11, 2000
