Priest 80, of Mesa, Arzonia, passed away Dec. 18, 2001. He was born in Benzonia, on Dec. 11, 1921 to John and Ida "Long" Priest. He graduated from Benzie Central High School in 1939. He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps from 1942 - 1945. He married Gladys Wheeler Dec. 28, 1945. They lived in Frankfort for several years, before moving to Mesa, where he continued working as a mechanic until retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents. He is survived by his nephew Gary "Pat" Mix of Arcadis and a step-daughter Carol Hanes of Mesa. Also two sisters Ann "Robert: Zellet of Angelo, Texas and Laura "Richard" Kerby of Traverse City.
