Benzie Banner; -- 1963 ------------------------ Nov. 14,- Obituary - John Priest ( Pg. 7 ) John T. Priest, 66 of Beulah, died Friday night at the Osteopathic hospital, Traverse City. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Bennett Funeral home, Benzonia. Rev. Murray Sleeper Officiated and burial was in Benzonia Cemetery. Mr. Priest was born June 19, 1897, at Benton Harbor, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Solomon Priest for many years he was an employee of the Ann Arbor railroad. Surviving are his wife, Ida; a son Edwin of Tempe, Ariz.; two daughters; Mrs. Laura Kerby of East Jordan and Mrs. Ann Zeller of San Angelo Texas; two brothers George of Benzonia, and Orla of Beulah; and eight grandchildren.
