  2.   Agnes Porter, daughter of William Porter and Mary Bowen was born in Augusta(present day Rockbridge) Co. VA abt. 1765 and died prob. in Davidson Co. TTenn. after 1841, the date of her husbands will. She married 17 Dec. 1789 in Rockbridge Co.VA. to John McCutcheon, born 01 Mar. 1755 in Augusta Co.VA. He was the second child of Samuel and Elizabeth (Fulton) McCutcheon and a grandson of John McCutcheon known as "tree John" because he died from a falling tree. John McCutcheon is said to have served under Campbell at King's Mtn. as did many men from Rockbridge Co. In 1840, at the age of 85, he applied for a pension for this service. Children were:
