This page is a place holder to collect any information that comes to hand related to the Cumberland Settlement of Tennessee. Many of the settlers of Southwest Virginia moved on to the Cumberland beginning just before the Revolution. As a result, understanding the settlement of the Cumberland contributes directly to an understanding of the settlers in Southwest Virginia, and elsewhere within the Tapestry.
