An appeal has been filed with county judge... by Theodore Durgee, Baldwinsville... who paid a fine of $10 after pleading guilty to a charge of operating a truck with faulty brakes. Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troup 80, Mr. Durgee borrowed a truck from a friend, Wayne Turner, on June 2 to haul some lumber for a camp the Scouts were building... Syracuse Herald Journal, 24 Aug 1966: B'VILLE EDUCATOR HURT IN FALL An accident has put another top Baldwinsville school district administrator in the hospital. Assistant Supt. Theodore R. Durgee, with the district 36 years, fell Saturday while painting his porch and fractured both ankles. Durgee, being treated at Community General Hospital, said he will be immobilized six to eight weeks and will be in a walking cast for several months after that... Durgee said he fell from the porch roof at his home after slipping on some paint. He said he fell about 10 feet, causing a compound fracture of the left ankle and cracking the right ankle.

Oswego Palladium-Times, 11 June 1973: THEODORE R. DURGEE Baldwinsville-- Theodore R. Durgee, 67, of 5 W. Oneida ST, Baldwinsville, died yesterday at his home. Born in Parish, he attended Parish schools and graduated from Syracuse University in 1927 with a bachelor's degree in education. He also received a master's degree in education from Syracuse University. He moved to Baldwinsville in 1928 and was with the school system there until retiring in 1966 as assistant district superintendent. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Baldwinsville and held many lay offices at the church. He was past master of Seneca River Lodge 160 FAM. He was a member of Riverside Chapter 160 RAM. Chairman of the board of directors of the Baldwinsville Public Library, Mr. Durgee was named Baldwinsville "Man of the Year" in 1967. He was awarded the Silver Beaver Award for .. years' service with the Boy Scouts. He was scoutmaster for Troop 80, Baldwinsville, for many years. He also was active with the Baldwinsville Volunteer Center and the Association for Retarded Children. Surviving are his wife, the former Ida Wallace; daughter, Mrs. Lynus Duger of Baldwinsville; three sons, James E. of Marcellus and John W. and Theodore I. both of Baldwinsville; a brother, Spencer Durgee of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; five sisters, Mrs. Marion Turner of St. Petersburg, Fla., Mrs. Vera Gridley of Pennellville, Mrs. Gail McSweeney of Fulton and Mrs. Alice Manzene and four grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the First Presbyterian Church, Baldwinsville, the Rev. Roger Pohl officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hills Cemetery, Port Byron. ..
