Gridley, 80, of County Route 33, who died Thursday at Plaza Nursing Home, Syracuse, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Traub Funeral Home, Central Square. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Central Square. ... A native of Amboy, Mrs. Gridley resided most of her life in Pennellville. She later lived in Central Square about 10 years before returning to Pennellville a year ago. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Central Square. Mrs. Gridley was a past matron of Elizabeth Caldwell Chapter 141, OES, in Central Square and a member of the Past Matrons Club. Surviving are two sons, Marvin of Muncey, Ind., and Spencer of Sidney; a daughter, Sally Bendura of Pennellville; a brother, Spencer Durgee of Lehigh, Fla.; two sisters, Irene Pyle of Babylon and Gail McSweeney of Fulton; eight grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
