Elizabeth threatened him many times and one time with a knife. Joseph left the home and moved in with his daughter Margarette, where he died January 25, 1934, 114 Liberty St. OBITUARY/FUNERAL NOTICE: PERKINS - In this city, January 6, 1946. Elizabeth Perkins, wife of the late Joseph Perkins and daughter of the late Louis & Pamelia Monette, aged 77 years. Friends are invited to attend funeral services at the home of her daughter Mrs. Llewellyn Mayer, 248 East tenth St., Wednessday January 9th at 9:00am and at St. Louis Church at 9:30am. PERKINS" (Taken fron the Palladium-Times, January 7, 1946) Following an illness of several months, Mrs. Elizabeth Monette Perkins, widow of Joseph Perkins, died late Sunday(1-6-46) afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Preston A. Nihoff, 128 East van Buren St. Born in Canada, daughter of the late Louis and Pamelia Monette, she spent most of her life in Oswego, the family home being 39 East Tenth St. Mrs. Perkins was a communicant of St.Louis Church and was keenly interested in the church and affairs of its societies until her illness. Surviving are six daughters: Mrs. John Labarge of Fulton, Mrs. William Mitchell of Newburg; Mrs. Llewellyn A. Mayer of Oswego; Mrs. George N. Sparks of Pensacola, Florida; Mrs. A. Preston Nihoff of Oswego and Mrs. John R. Kane of Syracuse. One brother, Albert L. Monette of Oswego; and two sisters, Mrs. Milton McLain of Syracuse and Mrs. Agnes Shambo of Auburn; also several grand children and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held at the home of her daughter Mrs. Llewellyn A. Mayer 218 east Tenth St., Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock and in St.Louis church at 9:30. Burial will be in St.Peters Cemetery.
