Buried Rural Cemetery Southwest Oswego Residences: 38 East 10-1/2th St. Oswego He was an alcoholic. He would drink perfume, shaving lotion and anything else that may have alcohol in it. His wife Eizabeth threatened him with a knife to quit drinking. After that he moved in with his daughter, Margarette where he died. OBITUARY/FUNERAL NOTICE Joseph Perkins, 65 died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John A. Labarge, 114 Liberty St., suddenly Thursday morning. Mr. Perkins had been in ill health for some time and had been unable to be around his house. He was born in Oswego and passed the greater part of his life on the East side. He later took up his residence with his daughter on Liberty St. Mr. Perkins was widely known and highly esteemed as a citizen. He was a communicant of St.Louis Church. Surviving are his widow, one son, Fostor Perkins; six daughters, Mrs. Llewellyn Mayer, Mrs. John A. Labarge, Mrs. William Mitchell of Newburgh, NY, Mrs. Preston Nihoff pf Oswego; Mrs. George Sparks, Philipine Islands; Mrs. John R. Kane of Syrcause, also 22 grandchildren and four great-granchildren. Friends are invited to attend the funeral Saturday, January 27 at 9:00am and at St. Louis Church at 9:30 FUNERAL - The funeral of Joseph Perkins was held from the home of hie daughter, Mrs John A. Labarge 114 Liberty St., Saturday morning at 9 and at St. Louis Curch at 9:30 where a requiem high mass was celebrated by the Rev. Michael J. Braun.
