                          AGNES (MONETTE) SHAMBO (DAUGHTER OF LOUIS)
                          (Monday February 4, 1963 Oswego Palladium-Times)

Auburn,NY - Mrs. Agnes Monette Shambo, 92, of 116 1/2 East Genesee St. died Sunday eveing at her home. She was acommunicant of St. Aloysius Church and the widow of the late Louis Shambo. Mrs. Shambo was born in Oswego, daughter of the late Louis Monette. She was married here(Oswego) and moved to Auburn shortly there after. Surviving are two sons: Leo of Auburn,NY and Theodore Shambo of Bethlehem,PA; six daughters: Sister Agnes Paula(Gertrude)of the Sisters of St. Joseph's in Rochester; Leona of Nunda, NY; Mae of Auburn; Mrs. Jay Cunningham; Mrs. Agness Flynn and Mrs. Edward Donahey of Auburn; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Services will be at the Avery E. Neagle Funeral Home and St. Aloysius Church. Burial will be in St. Josephs Cemetery.

                                              SHAMBO SERVICES

Services for Mrs. Agnes Shambo of 116 1/2 E. Genesee St. who died Sunday evening were held this morning at the Avery E. Neagle Funeral home with services at St. Aloysius Church at 10:00am. At the church a solemn high Mass of requiem was offered by Rev.John Loughlin assisted by Rev. Joseph Gorman as deacon and Rev. Raymond J. Wahl as sub deacon. Msgr. John Duffy and Rev. Norman Margrette of Rochester, Rev. Henry Manly of Auburn, Rev. John Guy of Montezuma, Rev.Paul Cuddy of Clyde and Rev. John Merklinger of Auburn were in the sanctuary during the church services. Burial was in St. Josephs Cemetery where prayers were offered by Fr. Loughlin assisted by Msgr. Duffy and Fr. Margrette and Fr. Wahl. Bearers were Robert F. Flynn and John J. Flynn of Syracuse and John F. Cunningham, Louis R. Shambo, Lloyd Hughes and Harrry F. Berry. The Rosary and Scapular Society of St. Aloysius Church was led in the recitation of the Rosary last evening by Fr. Loughlin. Prayers also were offered by Fr. Wahl
