                           Mrs. Jay Cunningham Dies in Hospital

Mrs. Flora Shambo Cunningham, 73, of 2 Florence St., widow of Jay W. Cunningham, former superintendent of the Street Department, died Sunday afternoon in Aubrun Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Cunningham was born in Oswego and had lived in Auburn most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Agnes Monette Shambo.

Mrs. Cunningham was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and a member of the Rosary and Scapula Society.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Paul J. Dwyer of Auburn; two sons, Thomas J. Cunningham of San Mateo, California and John F. Cunningham of Auburn; two brothers Theodore Shambo of Wildwood, NJ, and Leo Shambo of Aurora; five sisters, Sister Agnes Paula of the Sisters of St. Joseph in Rochester, Miss Leona Shambo of Rochester, Mrs. Beulah Danahey, Mrs. Agnes Flynn and Miss Mae Shambo, all of Auburn; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 8:30am Wednesday at the Farrell Funeral Home. A solemn high Mass of requiem will be offered in St. Mary's Church at 9:00 am.Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 tonight and from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Members of the Rosary Society will conduct services at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
