- James Davis Sr sold "his eldest son", John Davis, 350 acres [s/b 400] on head of a branch of Buffalo Creek; joining Borden's line; corner Richard Wood.
- May 19, 1762: John Davis from his father James Davis, Gent., £5, 400 acres on a head of a branch of Buffalo Creek. Borden's line; to Samuel Davis 10 May 1769. [Augusta Deed Book 10; 282]
- November 8, 1766: John Davis from John McClure and Mary, £43, 100 acres in Forks of James, his part of 200 formerly belonging to Robert Armstrong, deceased.
