Donald BUTTERY, white, aged 12, born in New York, completed 5th grade at elementary school, not attending school, occupation not recorded. 2010 - Obituary: (Ransomville) - Donald A. Buttery, age 82, of Ransomville, died Friday, January 29, 2010 in Buffalo General Hospital, after a brief illness. Donald was born July 11, 1927 in the Town of Lewiston, the son of the late Frank H. and Grace (Nickerson) Buttery and was a lifelong area resident. He was a Truck Driver, employed by Modern Corp. in Model City, for 14 years, retiring in 1980. Prior to working for Modern Corp., Donald was driving truck for several years for Anchor Motor Freight in Niagara Falls. After he retired from Modern he worked part time for 10 years for PARCO Builders in Newfane. Donald was hardworking and loved to help people. He also enjoyed camping. On July 18, 1970, he married Ruth (Sutherland) Buttery. Ruth predeceased him on January 29, 2007. He is survived by a son, Daniel (Valerie) Buttery of Lewiston; a daughter, Debra Ross of Peoria, AZ; a step-son, George (Darcy) Perry of Ransomville; his grandchildren, Jason (Michelle) Buttery of Youngstown, Briana Kislack and Daniel Buttery, both of Lewiston, and Tracey Ann (Derrick) Dutson of Peoria, AZ; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Lerrona) Buttery of St. Catharines, Ontario; two sisters, Loretta Canfield of Youngstown and Mary Furnace of Lewiston. He was predeceased by a son, Donald A. Buttery, Jr.; three sisters, Jeannette Mattoon, Mildred Crewe and Ruth Myers; and three brothers, Wilbur, Lewis and John Buttery. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Monday from 4-8 PM. A graveside service and burial will be private in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria. |
