Ruth BUTTERY, white, aged 17, born in New York, completed 7th grade at elementary school, farmer, occupation not recorded, working for 6 weeks in the past year, earning $200. 1979 - Newspaper clipping, obituary: RANSOMVILLE - Ruth M. Myers, 56, of 2014 Balmer Road, died in Mount St Mary's Hospital Friday (Oct 19, 1979) after a short illness. She had been hospitalized for about ten days. She was born in Lewiston on March 8, 1923, the daughter of Frank and Grace Nickerson Buttery, and had been a resident of the Ransomville area for the past 31 years. Mrs Myers is survived by her husband, Dale Myers; her mother, Mrs Grace Buttery; a daughter and son, Mrs Lloyd (Beverly) Murray and Dale Myers, Jr., all of Ransomville; four brothers and four sisters, Wilbur Buttery of Colton, N.Y., John Buttery of Canisteo, N.Y., Donald Buttery of Youngstown, Robert Buttery of St Catherines, Ont, Mrs William (Mildred) Crewe of Niagara Falls, Mrs Loretta Canfield of Florida, Mrs Mary Furnace and Mrs George (Jeanette) Mattoon, both of Ransomville and was the sister of the late Lewis Buttery. She is also survived by four grandchildren.... Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11am with the Rev Gary Talbot of Ransomville Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in North Ridge Cemetery. |
