Buried at Riverdale Cemetery on 1-17-1946. Informant was Mrs Frank BUTTERY of Youngstown N.Y. 1946 - Newspaper Clipping, obituary: Youngstown, N. Y., Jan 23.- Services for the late Frank A. Buttery were held January 17, at 2pm with the Rev Fred M. Webber officiating. The bearers were Seth Woodward, Levi VanLuven, Benjamin James, Byron Powell, L. J. Truesdale and Elmer Clark. A well-known farmer and thresher, Mr Buttery would have been 65 years old on January 26. He was born and educated in Lewiston and lived in the vicinity until three years ago when he moved to the Lockport road, Youngstown, where he resided until his death. He suffered a short attack of pneumonia followed by heart complications and passed away on Sunday, January 13. A son of the late John and Martha Robinson Buttery, he was a former member of the I.O.O.F. of Lewiston, and supported the Presbyterian church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs Grace Buttery; ten children, Wilbur Buttery and Mrs Dale Myers, of Lewiston; Lewis Buttery and Mrs William Crewe, of Niagara Falls; Private John E. Buttery, U.S.A., stationed at Williams Fields, Arizona; Donald, Loretta, Mary, Robert and Jeanette, at home, and ten grandchildren. Interment was in Riverdale cemetery. |
