    Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Still, 86, were held Sunday, January 3, at 3:00 p.m. at the John W. German Funeral Home in Steele. Mr. Mason Harris officiated.

    Mrs. Still was born August 11, 1895 in Cannelton, Indiana and died January 1, 1982, in the Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital at Hayti.

    The daughter of the late Grant Frakes and Mary Catherine Wheatley Frakes, she was united in marriage to Allie "Bud" Still December 7, 1912, in Steele. Mr. Still preceded her in death February 23, 1969.

    She leaves two sons, Quentin Still of Steele and Paul "Duke" Still of Steele; Two daughters, Mrs. Inez Shelton of Steele and Mrs. LaVerne Dodd of Steele; Sixteen grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

    Pallbearers were her grandsons: Kevin Still, Glen Allen Still, Buddy Still, Quentin Wayne Still, Dale Dodd and Ben Dodd.

    Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Steele with the John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge.
