William Thomas Frakes, 83, died March 14, 1972 at the Host House Rest Home in Charleston.
A pioneer resident of this community, he came to Steele in 1902 from Tell City, Ind. where he was born April 8, 1888.
He was married to Ada Adams in 1910 and farmed at Micola.
Funeral services were held March 16, 1972 at 2:00 pm at Boon's Chapel Church of Christ with Mr. Billy Lovelace officiating.
He leaves his wife, Ada Adams Frakes; four daughters, Gertrude Jones of Louisville, Ky., Peggy Clark of West Memphis, Marcene Dodd of St. Louis, and Wanda Pudiwitr of St. Louis; three sons, Boone Frakes, Marian, Ark., Warren G. Frakes of Corning, Ark., and Ethridge Frakes, West Memphis; 19 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Pemiscot Memorial Gardens in Caruthersville with the Original German Funeral Home in charge.
