    Funeral services were held February 25, 1969, for Allie "Bud" Still.

    He was born August 2, 1891, at Steele and died February 23, 1969, at Hayti. He was 77 years of age.

    Services were at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Steele with Mr. Mason Harris of Dyersburg, Tenn., officiating.

    Mr. Still was one of the early pioneers in this community where he was engaged in farming until his retirement.

    He was united in marriage to Bessie Frakes at Steele, December 7, 1912, and to this union were born four children. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Bessie Still of the home; two sons, Quentin and Paul Still of Steele; two daughters, Mrs. Inez Shelton and Mrs. Laverne Dodd of Steele; a half sister, Mrs. Bertha Flack of Dexter; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

    Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Steele with John W. German Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

    Pall bearers were Buck Ballentine, Andrew Fullerton, Tommy German, Clyan Larue, Roy Barnes, and Charles Kelley.
