Pulaski Democrat, 20 May 1954: ASA ROSER, 80, DIES AT RICARD Last rites for Asa Roser, 80, retired farmer of Ricard, who died May 4, were held from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Isabell Crossett, the following [Sunday?]. He had been in poor health for some time. The Rev. Adelbert Edwards, pastor of the Wesleyan Church, Pine Meadows, officiated with interment in Evergreen Cemetery at Orwell. Bearers were Norman Bush, George and William King, Clarence Roser and Irving Crossett. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Edna Kellogg Roser; a daughter, Mrs. Isabell Crossett; four sons, John, Edwin, Wilfred and Osman Roser, all of Ricard; four sisters, Mrs. Nellie Spink, Mrs. May [King] and Mrs. Ida Staring of Ricard and Mrs. Ethel Bambury of Orwell; a brother, Otto Roser of Orwell; and eight grandchildren. A brother, George Roser, died a few years ago. Mr. Roser was born Oct. 21, 1873, son of John and Julia Gay Roser and had spent most of his life in the Ricard area.
