Mary Jane Cooper was baptised on 2nd August 1865 at South Hylton in the township of Ford and parish of Bishopwearmouth, County Durham. She was the daughter of Elizabeth Jane Cooper, formerly Robinson, and her husband John George Cooper, a joiner. Mary appears in the 1871 census living with her parents and siblings at South Hylton. She has yet to be researched after 1871.
