CORA E. POTTS AFTER LONG ILLNESS Amboy-- Mrs. Cora E. Potts died Feb. 28, 1956 at her home in Carterville after a long illness. She was born April 21, 1866 in Orwell, daughter of William and Louisa Durgee Collins. In 1884 in Hillsboro she was married to DeWill Potts. The Rev. Jabez Ford performed the ceremony. Mr. Potts died Oct. 21, 1949. The couple had lived in Hillsboro, Amboy, and Carterville. She was a member of the Carterville Methodist church and active in its organizations. Surviving are two daughters, Miss Ruth Potts, at home, and Mrs. Claude Bisbo, Panther Lake; three sons, Dennis and Fred both at home and Frank, White Plains; several nieces and nephews. The funeral services will be … Saturday from her home, with the Rev. George O. Pritting officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery, Parish... References
