POTTS Bernhards Bay--Frank E. Potts, 81, of Constantia died Thursday evening at his home following a short illness. He was born in the Town of Amboy on Feb. 16, 1888, the son of DeWill and Cora E. Collins Potts. He was a graduate of Parish High School, attended Albany Business College, and was graduated from New York University with an M.A. degree. He taught in area schools at Lake Placid and Elmira, and at the time of his retirement in 1951 he was principal of Post Road School in White Plains. He was a member of the Constantia United Methodist Church, the North Shore Art Society and the White Plains Kiwanis Club. He was a veteran of World War 1, having served in France. Funeral services will be held Sunday... at the Constantia United Methodist Church with Rev. Allen Lum and Rev. Ernest Bittner officiating. Burial will be in the spring in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery in Parish. Syracuse Herald Journal, 30 Jan 1970: FRANK POTTS DIES; RETIRED EDUCATOR Frank E. Potts of Constantia died yesterday at his home after a short illness. Born in the Town of Amboy, Mr. Potts was a graduate of Parish High School. He attended Albany Business College and graduated from New York University. Mr. Potts taught school in Lake Placid and Elmira, and was principal of Post Road School, White Plains, at the time of his retirement in 1951. A veteran of World War I... Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Rachael M. Bisbo of Panther Lake and several cousins. Oswego Palladium-Times, 27 Feb 1970: SEVERAL PAPERS ARE FILED IN SURROGATE COURT... Will and codicil in the estate of Frank Everett Potts, Bernards Bay, were filed for probate. Trust accounts and a home known as "Babbling Brook" are left to a sister Rachel Potts Bisbo, and bequests are made to the building fund of the United Methodist church of Constantia. Value of the estate is shown to be in excess of $75,000. Oswego Palladium-Times, 20 Jan 1972: PAPERS FILED IN ESTATES-- CONSTANTIA MAN BEQUEATHS... In the second estate, Frank E. Potts of Constantia who died on Jan. 29, 1970 left a gross estate of $150,974.00. Deductions totaled $54,980.00, leaving a net taxable estate of $95,994.00. Taxes amounted to $2,279.82 References
