Syracuse Herald, 23 Oct 1949: RITES TOMORROW FOR DEWILL POTTS Carterville-- Services for DeWill Potts, 87, who died Friday at his home in Carterville, Town of Amboy, after a brief illness, will be ... tomorrow from the home. The Rev. B.A. Walton and the Rev. Carl F. Jacobs will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery, Parish. A native of Williamstown, Mr. Potts resided in Carterville for the last 48 years. He was the son of the late Frederick and Sarah French Potts. He was a member of the former Carterville Methodist Church and for 22 years served as justice of the peace at Carterville. [Survived by] Cora Collins Potts; three sons, Dennis and Fred Potts of Carterville and Frank E. Potts of White Plains; two daughters, Miss Ruth F. Potts of Carterville and Mrs. Claude Bisbo of Panther Lake; a niece and a nephew
