Disambiguation
NOT to be confused with William Henry (1778-1840) of Luzerne County, Pennsylvania who married Elizabeth Dodson. There are SEVERAL Ancestry Member Trees claiming that this William Henry died 24 June 1840 in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, but this is in error. This William Henry died on 24 September 1840 [per his Revolutionary Pension Application File], likely in Roanoke County, Virginia, where he was listed in the 1840 U.S. Census, and was listed next to his son, Owen Henry, who was listed next to William in BOTH the 1830 U.S. Census in Botetourt County and the 1840 U.S. Census in Roanoke County. The identity of the first wife of William Henry (and mother of his children) is unknown, and additional research is needed on his family.

William Henry of Botetourt Co. by his first marriage prior to his later marriage to Bathsheba Owens. I also believe from the marriage records of Botetourt Co. that this elder William Henry was the father of Sarah Henry that married John T. Wirt, Anna Henry that married Orsmus Johnson 1805 and Polly Henry that married Thomas Owen October 5, 1797.
