Mrs. Rose Barrett

Mrs. Rose Barrett, 80, of 61 Bluff St., died at 11:30 am Saturday at Mercy Hospital.

Friends may call after 10 am at Behr's. Services will be held at 10 am Monday at St. Raphael's Cathedral. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Norbert C. Barrett, pastor, will offer the Requiem High Mass. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Mrs. Barrett was born at North Garryowen, Ia., daughter of Maurice and Mary Ellen Shanahan Donovan and had lived in Dubuque 66 years. In 1907 she was married to John Barrett at St. Patrick's Church in Dubuque. He died in 1925.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Katherine Pierrie, Mrs. Margaret Casey, Mrs. Rosetta Meitl and Mrs. John (Marie) Hoover, all of Dubuque; five sons, John F., Leo T., Martin J., Louis C. and Francis A. Barrett, all of Dubuque; two brothers, Martin Donovan, Mesa, Ariz., and Cornelius Donovan, Omaha, Neb.; 26 grandchildren and 70 great-grandchildren.

St. Raphael's parish rosary will be recited at 8 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
