== Biography ==On March 18, 1778, in Brentwood, New Hampshire, Laomii Bean, son of James Bean and Lydia (Hoag) Bean, married Mehitable Smith (1761-1855) the daughter of Chase Smith. Loammi and Mehitable were Quakers. and were married in a double ceremony with his cousin Jeremiah Bean and Lydia Sanborn, by the Reverend Nathaniel Trask. Loammi and this Jeremiah were among the few bean families that did not pioneer, but rather chose to remain at or near Brentwood, New Hampshire.

All of the children of Loammi and Mehitable were born at Brentwood:

Loammi Bean, born October 15, 1778; Mehitable Bean, born March 18, 1781; Betsey Bean, born August 12, 1783; James Bean, born Febrary 17, 1786; Abigail Bean, born October 9, 1788; Henry S. Bean, born October 29, 1791; Chase S. Bean, born May 7, 1796; David S. Bean, born May 2, 1798; Joel Bean, born May 1, 1800; Mary Bean, born May 21, 1802; Dorothy "Dolly" Bean, born March 29, 1805; John L. Bean, born August 26, 1807 Loaommi died August 26, 1823 and was buried in the Dudley Family Cemetery Brentwood, Rockingham County, New Hampshire

Mehitable married again seven years later to Moses Chase.
