== Biography ==Mehitable Bean was born March 18, 1781, in Brentwood, Rockingham county, New Hampshire, a daughter of Laommi Bean, Sr. and Mehitable (Smith) Bean. ^[1] On February 15, 1802, in Brentwood, Rockingham county, New Hampshire, Mehitable Bean, daughter of Loammi Bean and Mehitable (Smith) Bean married her cousin James Bean, son of Elisha Bean (1746-1807) of Poplin, New Hampshire. ^[2] Mehitable and James had eight children, born in Fremont, Rockingham county, New Hampshire, however only three lived through childhood. • Loammi Bean, born April 22, 1804 died March 2, 1816

• Elisha Bean, born July 21, 1806, died September 7, 1807

• Hannah Bean, born September 30, 1809, died March 21, 1856

• Jacob T. Bean born August 12, 1811, died December 12, 1813

• Clarissa bean, born July 21, 1813, died March 2, 1816

• Mehitable Bean, born November 16, 1815, died March 3, 1816

• James Bean, born March 14, 1819, died November 16, 1847

Mehitable died in 1821 and her husband, James married her younger sister, Dorothy "Dolly" Bean.
