== Biography ==Mehitable Bean was born March 18, 1781, in Brentwood, Rockingham county, New Hampshire, a daughter of Laommi Bean, Sr. and Mehitable (Smith) Bean. [1] On February 15, 1802, in Brentwood, Rockingham county, New Hampshire, Mehitable Bean, daughter of Loammi Bean and Mehitable (Smith) Bean married her cousin James Bean, son of Elisha Bean (1746-1807) of Poplin, New Hampshire. [2] Mehitable and James had eight children, born in Fremont, Rockingham county, New Hampshire, however only three lived through childhood. (see notes)

Mehitable died in 1821 and her husband, James married her younger sister, Dorothy "Dolly" Bean.
