| Most, but not all, Walkers in Chalkley's Chronicles can be traced to the Wigton Walker line as describe by White 1902. The above is a Summary of Male Descendancy of the Wigton Walker line, based on White, 1902. This includes the Walkers Creek and Natural Bridge lineages. Also included is thethe lines of Samuel the Orphan, known to be related to the Line of John III by YDNA, but also known not to be related to the line of Samuel of Natural Bridge. Not currently shown are the lines of, Alexander the Orphan, and the Letterkenney Walkers, all of which share the Walkers Creek YDNA signature with John III and Samuel the Orphan.) Entries marked "X", indicate individuals who are believed to have "died young", died without children, or about whom nothing is known.

Overview
White, 1902 provides minimal information about John. Her notes are confined to a statement that he married Elizabeth "Betsey" McCampbell, and had two children, names unknown.
Checking Ancestry Family Trees (both Public and Private) 151 trees were found for John Walker b.c1750 and Elizabeth McCampbell.
of these only about 10% showed his parents as John Walker and Mary Culton (or variations). The remainder showed a variety of parents, but most of those identifying his parents showed them to be a John Walker and Elizabeth Watson. Significantly, these lineages all showed him dying in 1828 in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
THe Walker YDNA project provides lineages for people tracing descent from John who died in Cape Girardeau who have taken thte YDNA test. These results place this line in Group 5. If he were one of the Wigton Walkers per White 1902 his descendants would either be Group 8, or Group 33. So this lineage is probably not Wigton.
Of the lineages showing parents as John Walker and Mary Culton (in agreement with White 1902), most showed his DOB as 1750, with outliers of 1745 and 1754, with a POB of Augusta or Rockbridge. These lineages also gave his POD as Rockbridge bed 1797.
A summary of those lineages thought to most closely correspond to that of John 220:

A child list for the above lineages is reasonably consistent, and includes
- Andrew WALKER

- Jinnet WALKER
While this represents an expansion over the information given by White 1902, the basis for the identification of these children is not known.

John and Mary Walker had eleven children. Their sixth child John Walker, born around 1740, married Elizabeth McCampbell on 10 Oct 1780, and they had at least two children. With their daughter Jennet, this Walker line merges with another related Walker family to create our existing lineage.
