Parentage of James Phares (Ferris)

James Phares (Ferris) is being placed as a possible sibling of John Phares of Augusta County. Records show that he died prior to 17 March 1767, when his orphaned children Margaret and William were to be "bound out". For this reason, his wife appears to have pre-deceased James Ferris. His son, William, born no earlier than 1746 is thought to be the William Ferris, born in 1748, that served in the 10th Virginia Regiment of Augusta County in the Revolutionary War, and possibly be the William Ferris "son-in-law" mentioned in the will of John Phares (Ferris), likely also William's Uncle (and this James Ferris' brother). More research is necessary to prove this relationship.
