James C. McCarthy

James C. McCarthy, 68, of 865 Monticello Drive, died at 3:30 pm Saturday at Mercy Medical Center.

Services will be at 10 am Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at Key West, Iowa, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call until 9 pm Monday at the Hoffmann Mortuary, where the Holy Name Rosary will be said at 7:30 pm Monday.

Mr. McCarthy was born in Otter Creek, Iowa, and was a member of St. Joseph's Holy Name Society. He had been employed at the Dubuque Packing Co. for 27 years prior to his retirement three years ago.

Surviving are his wife, the former Florence Deacon; a daughter, Mrs. Alvin E. (Janaan) Cooper of Key West; three grandsons and two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Regan of Zwingle, Iowa, and Mrs. Ted (Dolly) Hingtgen of Dubuque.
