From the June 2, 1969, edition of the Dubuque (IA) Telegraph Herald Leo C. McCarthy Leo C. McCarthy, 62, of 1690 Scenic View Drive, died at 1:30 am Sunday at Mercy Medical Center. Services will be at 11 am Tuesday at St. Patrick's Church. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 pm Monday at Behr's. Mr. McCarthy was born in Otter Creek, Ia. He was a long-time employee of the Dubuque Packing Co. and was a member of St. Patrick's Holy Name Society, the American Legion, having served with the Army in World War II, and a member of Meatcutters and Butchers Local 150. Surviving are his wife, the former Euphemia Dammer; two daughters, Mary Lea of Gary, Ind., and Rosalie, at home; two sons, Dennis L. and Roger J. McCarthy, both at home; three sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Regan of Zwingle, Mrs. Mary Hingtgen of Dubuque, and Mrs. Joseph (Isadora) Picray of Bettendorf, Ia., and a brother, James McCarthy of Dubuque. The Rosary will be said at 8 pm Monday by St. Patrick's parish and Holy Name Society. Memorials may be given to the Heart Fund. |
