Gerald J. McCarthy

MAQUOKETA, Ia. -- Gerald J. McCarthy, 59, rural Maquoketa, died Friday night at Jackson County Public Hospital, Maquoketa.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am Monday at St. Lawrence Church, Otter Creek, Ia., with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Haylock O'Hara Funeral Home, Maquoketa. The parish Rosary will be recited 8 pm Sunday at the funeral home.

Surviving are his wife, Florence; one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Norma) Dunn, Dubuque; one son, Joseph, at home; three sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Regan and Mrs. Theodore Hintgen, both of Zwingle, and Mrs. Isadore Picray, Bettendorf, Ia.; two brothers, Leo and James, both of Dubuque.
