Ida Marie Augusta (Muller) Mayer was born in Regenswalde, Statten, Germany. She immigrated to the US at age 4 in 1896 entering through the Port of Baltimore, with her parents Herman Muller (1866-1927)and her mother Bertha Willhemenia(Zumach) Muller(1865 - 1932).
After moving from Ryder, North Dakota, she met and married John Mayer Jr. on August 10, 1918, in Great Falls, Montana. (Kirk B Mayer [grandson])
