Declaration of Citizenship Intent: October 15, 1901, Minnesota 9th District Court, Lincoln County.USA Declaration of Intentions, shows : occupation Farming. Height 5'8", 165 pounds, Gray hair and blue eyes. "I emigrated to the United States of America from Bremen Germany on the vessel Roland; my last foreign residence was Lobus Germany. " "I arrived at the port of Baltimore, in the State of Maryland, on or about the 11th day of November, anno Domini 1896." The Declaration was signed June 14, 1926. He came to the USA with his wife Bertha and daughter Ida (age 4). Their destination was to join relatives in Lake Benton Minnesota. In 1915 he and his family bought a farm in Ryder North Dakota.
