Facts and Events
Name Henry Horton
Gender Male
Christening[1] 24 Jan 1813 North Mundham, Sussex, England

Henry Horton was baptised on 24th January 1813 at North Mundham in Sussex, son of Elizabeth Horton, formerly Edwards, and her husband John Horton, an agricultural labourer. The family lived in the hamlet of Runcton at the time of Henry's baptism. By the time Henry's next sibling was born the following year the family had moved to the village of Merston.

Henry has yet to be traced after his baptism - no obvious burial or marriage has been found in Sussex, nor has he been found in the censuses. There is a fifteen year old Henry Orton who was buried at Merston in 1822, which may perhaps be him if a mistake was made on the transcription of his age. There does not appear to be another Henry Horton / Orton baptism at Merston around 1806.
