From the March 4, 1945, edition of the Dubuque (IA) Telegraph Herald Mrs. Hannah Anglin Mrs. Hannah Anglin, 79, widow of Jerry Anglin, died at 4:10 Saturday morning at Finley hospital after an illness of three weeks. Mrs. Anglin has resided with her daughter, Mrs. James Cowan, 392 Bluff street, where the body has been taken and where friends may call. The funeral will be held from the residence at 9 o'clock Monday morning to St. Lawrence church, Otter Creek, at 10 o'clock. Burial will be made in the adjoining cemetery. Mrs. Anglin was born at Garryowen, Ia., April 16, 1865, the daughter of Moses and Mary McDonnell. She resided in Jackson county until three years ago when she came to Dubuque. She was a member of the Catholic church, attended St. Raphael's cathedral, and was a member of the Rosary society and Sacred Heart league. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Loretta Ryan, Otter Creek, and Mrs. James (Genevieve) Cowan, Dubuque; five sons, Jerry Anglin, Maquoketa, Ia., Lee Anglin and Leonard Anglin, both of Dubuque, and Chris Anglin and Vincent Anglin, both of Otter Creek; two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Crane, Maquoketa, and Miss Catherine McDonnell, Garryowen; two brothers, Jerry McDonnell and James McDonnell, both of Garryowen; 21 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, two sisters and two brothers. Image Gallery
