Genevieve M. Cowan

Services for Mrs. Genevieve M. Cowan, 86, who lived with her daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Kutsch of 2197 Southway, and was formerly of 408 W. Fifth St., will be at noon Friday at St. Raphael's Cathedral.

Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Iowa. Friends may call until 9 pm today at Dennis Kitchen Funeral Home, 3860 Asbury Road, where the parish wake service will be said at 4:30 pm.

Mrs. Cowan was born on Nov. 10, 1903, in Otter Creek, Iowa, daughter of Jeremiah and Hannah (McDonnell) Anglin. She died at 2:45 pm Tuesday, July 10, 1990, at home.

She married James D. Cowan on Nov. 11, 1936, at St. Columbkille's Catholic Church, Dubuque; he died on Dec. 19, 1976.

She was a member of St. Raphael's Cathedral and its rosary society.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Kutsch of Dubuque; two sons, Leo Cowan of Dubuque and Arnold "Sam" Cowan of Asbury, Iowa; and nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A Genevieve M. Cowan Memorial Fund has been established.
