From the July 7, 1987, edition of the Dubuque (IA) Telegraph Herald Leonard J. Anglin Services for Leonard J. Anglin, 82, of 1652 Lawndale St. will be at 11:30 am Wednesday at Nativity Church. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Iowa. Friends may call until 9 pm Tuesday at the Gene Siegert & Son Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, where the Knights of Columbus Council 510 of Dubuque will say the rosary at 6:15 pm and the wake service will be said at 7 pm. Mr. Anglin, who was born May 8, 1905, at Otter Creek, Iowa, and lived in Dubuque all of his life, died at 9:45 pm Sunday, July 5, 1987, at St. Joseph's Unit of Mercy Health Center. He graduated from Loras Academy and St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing, Chicago, Ill., in 1927. He was a surgical nurse at Finley Hospital and St. Joseph's Unit of Mercy Health Center and was a private duty nurse since 1971. He married Veronica Nemmers Oct. 22, 1941, and was a member of the Iowa Nursing Association, Knights of Columbus and Nativity Parish, where he was an usher and extraordinary minister. His wife died March 30, 1974. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Eulain) Hamilton of Kokomo, Ind., and Mrs. Daniel (Marlene) Apel of Dubuque; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Genevieve Cowan and Mrs. Loretta Ryan, both of Dubuque.
