Miss Katherine McDonnell

Miss Katherine McDonnell, 81, of 999 W. 5th, died at 4:50 pm Monday at Mercy Hospital.

Friends may call after noon Wednesday at the Hoffmann Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Thursday at the Church of the Nativity. The Rev. Thomas E. Braak will offer the Requiem High Mass. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery at North Garryowen.

She was a member of the Rosary Society of Nativity parish.

She was born at North Garryowen, Jackson County, Ia., daughter of Moses and Mary (Flannigan) McDonnell, and came to Dubuque six years ago.

Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Ellen Crane, Maquoketa, Ia.; one brother, James McDonnell, Dubuque; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.

Member of the Nativity parish and its Rosary Society will meet at the Hoffmann Mortuary at 8 pm Wednesday to recite the Rosary.
